All the photographs are shot in studio. Every woman has a different beauty that comes from an inner strength and I wanted to illustrate that through crowning them with these flowers. Fynbos is indigenous to the Western Cape, South Africa and the flower has to be exposed to intense heat or fire before it releases it seeds. Their colours are as intense as the heat they endure. This is part 2 out of a series that I’m working on and I hope to have 12 different settings for the final project.
“Symbolising and crowning the Strength and Beauty of South African Women through with the beautiful, hardy and colourful Protea flowers and Indigenous Fynbos.”
